2019 Holiday Style: It’s All in the Details

Accessorizing for the Season

Spirit and sparkles and sips galore! The holiday season is officially upon us, and the festivities are in full swing; cocktails with the neighbors, black tie weddings, brunch with Santa, and (gulp) the obligatory office holiday party. With so many events on the calendar, you may be feeling like your wardrobe choices are as slim as your zzz’s. Never fear, the shining star we call “accessorizing” is here!

Accessories are a savior when it comes to changing up a little black dress or go-to festively colored jumpsuit. You can save or splurge, depending on your fancy. I personally like to do a bit of both. If I have already spent most of my budget on a clothing item, then I like to keep my accessories wallet-friendly and find pieces that sparkle for less shine. If I am recycling a piece I have already worn or saved from last season, then I try to find a new and festive bag or a designer statement belt to increase the wow factor. As my holiday gift to you, I’ve curated my list of fun and showstopping accessory options for any look you shine in this season. Let’s get festive…

The Little Black Dress Perfect for all Christmas Cocktails…

We all have her. She may sit in the back of your closet or be the first thing you grab every weekend (or maybe even weeknight) in December. So, what can you do for her (and you) in-between dry-cleaning visits? Here are some great options to spice up an LBD:

One. A Jewel Tone Shoe

Two. To-Die-For-Tight
(yes tights count as accessories)

Three. A Statement Necklace

The Colorful and Cold Weather-Friendly Christmas Eve Knit…

Whether it’s fancy or fun, we all have the sweater or sweater dress that’s rich in color, but poor in dazzle. What can you do with your knit that you both find safe and spirited? Here are a few fun ideas to take it from festive to fabulous:

One. A Designer Belt

Two. A Color-Coordinating Hair Piece

Three. A Big and Bold Studded Earring

The Sassy & Sparkly New Year’s Eve Showstopper:

For the past few years, sequins have made their way from the stage to a wardrobe essential, especially as we approach the holiday season. Whether it be a top, bottom, or both, sequins are easy and accessible for everyone. There is always the question of accessorizing an already shiny and shimmering style. Here are some not-so-shy options to make your New Year’s glam and gleam:

One. A “Because there is always room for more” Sequin Clutch”

Two. A Glitzy & Glamorous Pump

Three. A Partially Practical, but Perfectly Posh Pair of Specs

While I love these for holiday looks, you’ll find quite a few of them can work for elegant events, bold year-long looks, and special occasions. I want your style to reflect who you are inside and out. Don’t be afraid to sparkle. xx
